A japán iskolarendszerben az számomra az egyik legszimpatikusabb, hogy nagyon gyakorlatias. Zöldség palántát meg hajnalkát nevelnek, azokat tanulmányozzák. Édes burgonyát termesztenek, abból készítenek ételeket. Megtanulják, hogy kell levelezőlapot kitölteni, feladni, majd tényleg elmennek a postára és küldenek egy - egy lapot egy kis barátnak. Ezen a héten meg a tömegközlekedést tanulták: a menetrend szerinti busszal bementek a városba, ott villamosoztak, megnézték a sinkanszent, voltak egy gyerekkönyvtárban meg egy csodák palotája szerű helyen. Természetesen az egyik leghangsúlyosabb rész az volt: hogy kell utazáskor viselkedni.
One of the best things I really like in the Japanese school system that it is pretty practical. Children grow their own veggies, flowers and follow their growth with reports. They grow sweet potatoes and cook something together. They learn how to write and send a postcard, then they walk to the post office and send a real postcard to a friend. This week they learned about public transportation. So they spent one day travelling on public vehicles. First they took a bus, then they tried the tram, visited the shinkansen station and some more fun places in the city center. One of the crucial points was how to behave (or rather not to behave) in public places.
